My smoking story dates almost 12 years.
I started smoking late at 18 (I think that’s considered late this days), smoked heavily through my early 20′s and after trying to quit somewhere between 15-25 times I finally found the way to get rid of the habit.
The most interesting part is that once I figured out how to quit, it was so easy and painless that I was mad at myself for not realizing this sooner.

I read an article about self development and it mentioned that people should listen to self development material while they’re running or working out in order to maximize our time.
I’m not sure if I fully agree with this idea. When I’m working out I want to focus on what I’m doing and not be distracted, I also don’t want to spend 4 hours in a gym I want to go go go and then head out, that’s what works for me.

Friends that have known me for a long time were really surprised to see me cut as much fat as I did and lose weight. They asked me if I became bulimic or some other nonsense.
The reality is that all I did was make a long term commitment to cutting out things that did now allow me to lose weight. I honestly just didn’t cheat and I created a reward system for long term success. I’m not better than anyone, I just made sure to create a plan with clear end result goals, thats the key.
